Our Story

Babuby was born out of love and a whole lot of frustration.

When our son was born, I wanted only the best for his delicate skin. But product after product let me down. Even the expensive ones were filled with petroleum jelly or cheap oils like safflower oil-ingredients I wasn’t comfortable using, and that our ancestors never used for skincare. Worse, they simply didn’t work. After each diaper change or feeding, I found myself wiping, reapplying, and moisturizing his skin 4 to 5 times a day just to keep eczema away. Any slip, and he’d be left with dry, irritated skin. It was exhausting.

I searched for better alternatives-creams that were nourishing, natural, long-lasting, and baby-safe. I found a few high-end options, but they were too expensive and came in tiny jars. That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I started small-with just shea butter and organic coconut oil-and over four years, I refined and perfected the formula into something truly special. Friends and family began asking for it. They used it on their babies, their own skin, and kept coming back for more.

Babuby is the result: a velvety, non-greasy crème with a naturally bright orange hue and a soft vanilla scent. It doesn’t harden in the winter or flake like raw butters often do. It soaks in deep, lasts all day, and gives your baby’s skin exactly what it needs-without the constant reapplication.

babuby delivers deep, lasting hydration with a luxuriously smooth feel. It’s a gentle formula that’s naturally antimicrobial and nourishing, helps protect delicate skin, leaving it soft, comforted, and lightly scented with a calming aroma.

Babuby was made for my kids-but it’s been loved by everyone who’s tried it. Now, I’m excited to share it with you and your family.

The name - "babuby"

Like I said, I originally created it for my son and my niece, with the goal of offering something gentle enough for our kids from infancy. The name ‘Babuby’ combines ‘Babu’ — a Sanskrit word often used affectionately for young ones, (and also my dad’s nickname at home) — with ‘Baby’ from English that also symbolizes love and affection. It felt natural to merge the two, especially because when you dive into the etymology of many words across cultures, you find they often share similar roots. Babuby reflects that blend of personal meaning, tradition, and universality.
