Frequently Asked Question!
1. Is Babuby safe for newborns?
Yes! Babuby was originally made for my own newborn son and is crafted using gentle, natural ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, almond oil, vitamin E, beeswax, and vanilla oleoresin. It’s free from petroleum, artificial fragrances, parabens, and harsh chemicals—making it suitable for sensitive baby skin.
That said, every baby is unique. We always recommend doing a small patch test before full use, especially for newborns or children with highly reactive skin—just to be safe.
2. Does it help with eczema or dry patches?
Absolutely. Babuby was created to help manage my own son’s eczema and dry skin. It provides long-lasting moisture and helps soothe, protect, and support the skin’s natural barrier. Many parents have shared that it became their go-to for managing dryness and flare-ups.
That said, Babuby is not a medicated product, and every skin type reacts differently. While it’s formulated with deeply nourishing ingredients, we always recommend consulting your pediatrician or dermatologist for persistent or severe eczema.
3. Will the crème harden or flake in winter?
No. Unlike raw shea butter or coconut oil alone, Babuby is specially blended to stay smooth and spreadable in all seasons—even in cold weather. It won’t flake, harden, or separate at room temperature.
4. What does it smell like?
Babuby has a soft, natural scent from vanilla extract oil—nothing artificial or overpowering. The aroma is warm, subtle, and comforting—just enough to feel cozy without triggering sensitivities.
5. Is Babuby greasy or sticky?
Not at all. Our crème is velvety and quick-absorbing. It leaves the skin feeling nourished and soft without any sticky or greasy residue.
6. Can adults use Babuby too?
Definitely! Babuby is loved by adults for dry hands, elbows, knees, and even as an overnight moisturizer. It’s gentle enough for babies but rich enough to keep grown-up skin glowing.
7. What’s the shelf life?
We recommend using Babuby within 6 to 12 months of opening. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight for best results. Because we don’t use harsh preservatives, freshness matters.
8. Do you test on animals?
Never. Babuby is 100% cruelty-free. We only test on willing humans—mostly ourselves, our friends, and our families!
9. Why does the price vary or seem higher than common store lotions?
We use high-quality, ethically sourced ingredients from trusted suppliers, and our formula is concentrated—so a little goes a long way. We don’t cut corners, and we don’t price to exploit. We simply believe in fair pay for our farmers, our employees, and the love that goes into every jar.
10. Where is Babuby made?
Babuby is proudly handcrafted in the USA using both local and imported ingredients from reputable partners. Every batch is small-batch blended with care and integrity.
11. Why doesn’t Babuby come in a pump bottle?
We get this question often, and the answer comes down to our values around sustainability, safety, and product integrity.
Reducing Plastic Waste Thoughtfully
We’re mindful of plastic use and chose not to use traditional pump bottles because they add to unnecessary plastic components. Instead, we use wide-mouth PET jars that are fully recyclable. Our large 25 oz jar is BPA-free and food-grade, making it safe to reuse around your home.
Safer than Glass for Families
While glass jars look beautiful, they increase shipping costs and breakage risks—especially in homes with little ones. We chose durable PET for safety, practicality, and lower carbon footprint in shipping.
No Watered-Down Formulas
We could have made Babuby a lotion and packaged it in a pump—but that would have meant diluting our rich, nourishing formula and possibly adding preservatives to maintain shelf stability. That’s not who we are. Babuby is thick, concentrated, and made without compromise.
With Babuby, you get more of what matters—and less of what doesn’t.
